Rukeli: Rai Cinema Channel interviews from Venice

From the Venice red carpet, Rai Cinema interviewed the team behind Rukeli.

In the interviews by Rai Cinema Channel, director Alessandro Rak, writers Biagio Di Bennardo and Emma Ferulano, and producer Parsifal Reparato recount the origins and meaning of Rukeli. Joining them were Alessandra Aleksic from the Tracer project and Biagio Visconti from ITIS Galileo Ferraris in Scampia.

For AntropicA, this animated short, which brings back to light the story of Johann Wilhelm Trollmann, the Sinti boxer who defied Nazism, is an appeal to continue resisting all forms of racism and tyranny. It is no coincidence that the production of the short coincides with the 80th anniversary of the Liberation from Nazi-Fascism.

Produced by AntropicA, in co-production with Sideways Studios and Film i Väst, in association with Mad Entertainment and in collaboration with Rai Cinema, and born from an idea by Chi rom e chi no, Rukeli was presented at La Biennale di Venezia in the Orizzonti Corti – Fuori Concorso section.
