SHE is the Face of the new edition of the festival “Filmer le Travail 2027”
SHE by Parsifal Reparato is the face of the new edition of the Festival International Filmer le Travail in Poitiers, France,.
An image of the film has been chosen to announce its 18th edition, taking place from February 5 to 14, 2027.
The decision follows the film’s success at the 2026 edition, where SHE received three prestigious distinctions: the Prix Spécial du Public (Special Audience Award), the Prix des Détenu·e·s (Prisoners’ Jury Award), and a Special Mention from the International Labour Organization (ILO) Jury.
From Vietnam’s electronics factories to the visual identity of an international film festival dedicated to the world of work, the women featured in SHE continue to bring global attention to the lives and working conditions of those employed in international production and supply chains.
The result of more than twelve years of field research in Vietnam, the documentary explores the experiences of women workers in one of the country’s largest electronics manufacturing hubs, revealing the contradictions of contemporary technological production through the voices of its protagonists.
The festival’s choice carries particular significance: women whose labour often remains invisible behind the technological devices we use every day have become the face of an international film event dedicated to exploring work and its transformations.
Following its world premiere at the 2025 Locarno Film Festival, as part of the Semaine de la Critique, and numerous awards and recognitions at international film festivals, SHE continues to reach new audiences and raise awareness of women’s labour rights, gender inequality, and social justice.
The upcoming edition of Filmer le Travail offers another opportunity to keep the stories of the women who made the documentary possible in the spotlight, bringing their experiences to the forefront of the international conversation about the future of work.
