“SHE” Wins Two Awards at the SàFF – Social Action Film Festival 2026
SHE, the documentary directed by Parsifal Reparato and produced by Antropica, has received two major awards at the third edition of the SàFF – Social Action Film Festival, winning Best Film in the Documentary Category and the Social Storytelling Award.
The two awards recognize both the cinematic and social significance of the documentary, the result of over twelve years of field research in Vietnam, which explores the lives and working conditions of women employed in one of the country’s largest electronics manufacturing hubs.
Through the personal accounts of its protagonists, SHE examines the contradictions of the global electronics industry, bringing visibility to the women whose daily labor contributes to the production of technological devices used around the world.
The festival jury explained its decision with the following statement:
“For giving a face and a voice to the women workers of one of Vietnam’s largest electronics manufacturing hubs, an anonymous workforce on which the devices we use every day depend. Moving between factories, dormitories, and homes, the film weaves together a remarkably coherent collective portrait, combining the rigor of investigative filmmaking with emotional engagement, without ever resorting to simplistic denunciation.”
Following its world premiere at the 2025 Locarno Film Festival, as part of the Semaine de la Critique, and the recognition it has received at several international film festivals, SHE continues its journey to audiences worldwide, drawing attention to the experiences of Vietnamese women workers and broader issues surrounding labor rights, gender inequality, and global supply chains.
The two awards received at SàFF represent further recognition of the collective efforts of the film’s entire team and, above all, of the women who entrusted the filmmakers with their stories and experiences, making the documentary possible.
Antropica extends its thanks to the SàFF – Social Action Film Festival, the juries, and the audience for their appreciation and recognition of the film.
