SHE Wins Two Awards at Festival dei Popoli

It’s a celebration for SHE at Festival dei Popoli. We are bringing home two awards.

Il Cinemino Theatrical Distribution Award
“For its ability to transform documentary observation into a choral narrative of great emotional strength and social depth. Through years of research, the director takes the audience inside the largest electronics industrial park in Vietnam, giving voice to women workers whose daily lives are shaped by exhausting rhythms, anonymity, and social pressure. Built on multiple narrative layers — between factory, village, and performative workshop — the film weaves realism and symbolism, offering a complex portrait of the contradictions between labour, dignity, and personal aspirations. SHE is not only a documentary about global exploitation: it is an act of civic and artistic responsibility, an invitation to reflect on the value of collective memory and testimony, able to engage the audience through the protagonists’ delicacy, courage, and humanity.”

AMC Award – Associazione Montaggio Cinematografico e Televisivo
“The documentary stands out for an editing approach that supports a constant and elegant progression of the story; it offers a profound reading and understanding of the narrative space, and delivers an internal rhythm consistent with the rituality and emotions of its protagonists. Pauses and accelerations respond with sensitivity to the rising intensity of the story, composed of different voices that coexist harmoniously and flow into a single narrative stream. The sound editing contributes to a weave closely connected to the visual plane, enhancing the immersive power of the film as a whole. Moreover, the film develops an original, innovative, and hybrid visual language that generates new expressive strength and layered meaning within the work.”
