RUKELI by ALESSANDRO RAK at River Film Festival in Padua (Italy)

Rukeli by Alessandro Rak will be presented Tuesday, 16 June 2026, starting at 10:00 p.m in Padua as part of the River Film Festival.

The film will be included in the international short film selection, scheduled from 10:00 p.m. to midnight. The programme will bring together works from Iran, Finland, Taiwan, Spain, Germany, the United States, France, Iraq, Italy and Sweden, offering audiences a journey through different cultures, cinematic languages and artistic perspectives.

This selection represents another important recognition in the journey of Rukeli and a valuable opportunity to present the film within a festival that has promoted independent cinema, narrative innovation and dialogue between different cultures for twenty years.

Through animation, Rukeli tells the story of Sinti boxer Johann Wilhelm Trollmann, a victim of persecution by the Nazi regime, bringing the themes of memory, discrimination, dignity and human rights to the forefront.
