RUKELI AT CIAK & ZOOM FILM FESTIVAL 2026
RUKELI, the animated short film directed by Alessandro Rak, was screened on September 11, 2026 at 3:30 PM as part of the third edition of the Ciak & Zoom Film Festival in Modugno (BA).
Taking place from September 10 to 12, Ciak & Zoom was created with the aim of going beyond a traditional film showcase and turning the festival into a space for cultural and social dialogue, connecting cinema, local communities and education.
Particularly significant for RUKELI is the festival’s strong involvement of younger generations. The 2026 edition, also developed through a partnership with Giffoni Experience, involved schools and young audiences in screenings, film discussions and educational activities, giving them an active role within the festival’s various juries.
Presenting the film to a young audience therefore takes on a special meaning: memory is not simply preserved, but brought back into circulation and entrusted to new generations, who are invited to engage with these stories and images.
Ciak & Zoom also places film education at the heart of its project, with activities for students and teachers, workshops and masterclasses designed to introduce young people to the language of cinema, from its foundations to its more technical aspects.
RUKELI’s participation in the Apulian festival therefore represents not only another step in the film’s journey, but also an opportunity to continue building, through animation, a dialogue between memory, the present and new generations.
