SHE, the documentary directed by Parsifal Reparato and produced by Antropica, arrives in Vietnam for the first time, where it will be presented as part of the 16th European–Vietnamese Documentary Film Festival in Hanoi.

The Vietnamese Premiere is scheduled for Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at 7:35 PM, at the Screening Room of the Central Documentary and Scientific Film Studio. The director and part of the film’s cast and crew will attend the screening.

For SHE, this marks a particularly significant stage in its international journey. The documentary grew out of a long process of research, relationships, and fieldwork developed in Vietnam, and now returns to the country where it originated to finally meet Vietnamese audiences. The event has also been made possible thanks to the support and collaboration of the Embassy of Italy in Hanoi and the National Documentary and Scientific Film Studio.

The programme will continue the following day, September 24, from 9:00 to 11:30 AM, with the workshop “Ethnographic Filmmaking & Italy–Vietnam Co-production”, also hosted at the Central Documentary and Scientific Film Studio.

The workshop will focus on the making of SHE and on the relationship between ethnographic research and documentary filmmaking, with particular attention to fieldwork, the process of building relationships with the people who become the protagonists of a film, and the possibilities for developing new projects and co-productions between Italy and Vietnam.

For Antropica, bringing SHE to Hanoi means symbolically closing a circle: returning the film to the place where everything began while at the same time opening up new opportunities for dialogue, exchange, and collaboration.
