Nimble Fingers at MUSIL Brescia: A Key Step Toward SHE
Nimble Fingers returns to the screen as a key milestone in the path that led to the development of SHE, which recently had its world premiere in Locarno and will soon appear in other international festivals and in Italy.
On Saturday, October 4, 2025 at 5:00 pm, at the Museo del Ferro “Lodovico Giordani” in Brescia, MUSIL Brescia Sistema Museale dell’Industria e del Lavoro di Brescia welcomes audiences to “Stories of Work”. Global and domestic, past and present: two sides of contemporary labor explored through the documentary films of the Roberto Gavioli National Competition, an award and archive promoted by MUSIL since 2008.
Nimble Fingers, directed by Parsifal Reparato, portrays the lives of migrant women workers in the factories of the world’s leading electronics brands in Vietnam. For one year, the anthropologist and filmmaker lived in Vietnam between the outskirts of Hanoi and a remote Muong village in the northern highlands, living alongside the community and documenting their conditions, which had never before been portrayed through audiovisual storytelling.
This research recently led to the making of the new film SHE, which has just had its world premiere in Locarno and will be selected in several international festivals and in Italy in the coming months.
The screening will be followed by an aperitif and a conversation with Silvio Grasselli, film critic and President of the Competition Jury.
