SHE from the Solinas Award to Australia: the Italian premiere at Festival dei Popoli.
After premiering at Semaine de la critique – Locarno, the film by Parsifal Reparato, co-produced by Cinecittà, continued its journey to the Mezinárodní festival dokumentárních filmů Ji.hlava, the leading documentary festival in Central and Eastern Europe, and won the Best Documentary Award at the Adelaide Film Festival. On Tuesday, November 4, SHE will have its Italian premiere in competition at the historic Festival dei Popoli in Florence.
SHE portrays the Bac Ninh electronics industrial hub in Vietnam, where more than 100,000 people, mostly women, work under conditions of intensive exploitation. Through a powerful and symbolic visual language, the film gives voice to those who live and resist behind the assembly lines.
It is a film about hidden resistance, about the right to exist as people, not only as labour.
Also made possible thanks to the Solinas Award for Best Documentary, SHE brings together art and denunciation, turning the constraints of censorship into creative strength.
